STABITERM 400 is a two-component combined system for structural fire protection of steel beams, trusses and columns in industrial and civil construction. It works indoors and outdoors and is seismic-resistant up to 9 points.
Where to use it
- complex industrial facilities;
- steel structures indoors and outdoors;
- high-seismicity areas — the coating is designed for seismic loads up to 9 points;
- sites where the design requires hydrocarbon fire protection — in the mesh-reinforced version.
How it works
At high temperatures the coating swells into a porous heat-insulating layer that slows down heating of the steel. The system is produced in two modifications; when reinforced with mesh, it resists hydrocarbon fire.
400 or 003 plaster
For oil, gas and chemical sites there are two routes. STABITERM 003 is a Portland cement clinker plaster for steel and reinforced concrete. STABITERM 400 is a two-component intumescent system for steelwork, including outdoors and in seismic areas. We will select the option for your project.
Application
- The steel is cleaned and primed according to the fire protection design.
- The components are mixed immediately before application.
- For hydrocarbon fire protection the coating is reinforced with mesh.
- Coating thickness is checked against the fire protection design.
Consumption and coating thickness
We calculate consumption and fire-protective layer thickness for your project: they depend on the required fire-resistance rating, the fire curve and the section factor of each steel profile. Send us the steel specification and we will calculate it.

The system has Uzbek documents: a fire safety certificate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a certificate of conformity and a quality passport for each batch. Available on request.
